AP Psychology Literature Review

  • Start by creating both a MyJSTOR account and an NoodleTools account. See below.  Peer Review is a process that specialized publications use to ensure that the articles they publish represent the best scholarship currently available in that field. When an article is submitted to a peer-reviewed journal, the editors send it out to several other scholars in the same field [the author's peers] to get their opinion on the quality of the scholarship, its relevance to the field, and its appropriateness for the journal, etc. Publications that do not use peer review (Newsweek, Cosmo, Sports Illustrated) just rely on the judgment of the editors regarding whether or not an article is credible. That is why you cannot count on popular magazines for solid, scientific scholarship.
