The online registration process is open through Midnight, Friday, March 15th, to allow for us to verify eligibility. Anyone registering after the deadline may be forced to miss the first day of tryouts.
The following 4 items must be addressed prior to tryouts:
#1 ONLINE REGISTRATION
All athletes interested in participating in a Fall sport must do so by registering online. You can begin registering your athletes by using the link below.
#2 PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
An up-to-date physical must be provided to the athletic office via fax (508) 961-1648, email to email@example.com or dropped off at 555 Bakerville Road. This must be done before tryouts are held. Doctor’s notes will not be accepted - it must be a completed physical examination form provided by the physician. The MIAA has changed their policy regarding physicals. Physical examinations are good for 13 months - to the day. Once the physical has exceeded 13 months, the student athlete will not be allowed to participate until a new physical is produced.
#3 IMPACT CONCUSSIONBASELINE TEST
All athletes are required to complete the online concussion test every two years. The test takes 45 minutes to complete and will establish a cognitive baseline of information to be used to diagnose, treat and ultimately allow doctors to determine when it will be safe for students to return to competition. All 9th graders must complete prior to trying out for their first season. Most will have to retake before their Junior year. The ImPact test will be administered by our Athletic Trainer prior to each athletic season.
IMPACT Testing will take place on the following dates in Room A20:
February 25 - 2:15 pm
February 27 - 2:15 pm
March 5 - 2:15 pm
March 7 - 2:15 pm
March 12 - 2:15 pm
Seating is limited to 50 per session, so please be sure to make an appointment by clicking here: https://www.familyid.com/programs/impact-testing-for-fall-sports-2
If you have any questions, please email our Athletic Trainer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
#4 USER FEE
The user fee of $50 is due BEFORE trying out for any Fall Sports team. This fee can be paid online on our school website (see link below) or mailed/dropped off to 555 Bakerville Road. If paying by check, please make it payable to Town of Dartmouth/Athletics. Anyone who is not selected for a team after tryout will receive a full refund of the user fee.
